We always look for a way to save a natural tooth first, but sometimes an extraction is the healthiest choice — because of advanced decay, a severe crack, infection, or crowding. Whatever the reason, this falls under our broader oral surgery care, and Dr. Dhawan and our team take a careful, conservative approach to make the process as comfortable as possible.
Before your extraction, we will explain what to expect during the procedure and afterward, including how to care for the site while it heals. We also offer nitrous oxide for patients who feel anxious about the appointment.
If you are missing a tooth or expect to need an extraction soon, ask us about dental implants as a replacement option once the site has healed.
